Éire Óg U16 hurlers begin the 2015 season in fine form

Éire Óg U16 hurlers have begun their season in fine form with excellent performances in both Ulster and Tyrone blitzes and commenced their Tyrone U16 league campaign last Monday night against Na Seamróga An Srath Bán. After a slow start the lads grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and managed to pull away from a determined Seamróga side eventually running out 2-15 to 0-09 winners. Continue reading

Éire Óg An Charraig Mhór are delighted to anounce a Gala night of celebration on Saturday 7th November 2015. The venue is the Hilgrove Hotel, Monaghan, with a Champagne reception at 6.00pm.

The club hopes to bring past and present players together and celebrate all those who have been pivotal in the clubs history. This is the clubs first ever Gala, so it should be a land mark event! The club was formed 45 years ago, and camogie was reintroduced 10 years ago after a 20 year break. Continue reading

Éire Óg Win Back Senior Hurling Championship Crown

Carrickmore Eire Og are this evening celebrating their 23nd senior hurling crown to draw level with Eoghan Ruadh. They were full value for their 1-18 to 0-9 point win over three in a row chasing Dungannon team. The Eoghan Ruadh side never really got into their stride at any point throughout the sixty minutes. Star forward Damian Casey never really got into the game and looked very ordinary throughout. Dermot Begley who was given the man marking job on Casey had a superb hour breaking up many Dungannon attacks before they really got going. Continue reading
