Éire Óg U16’s who will play Eoghan Ruadh Dungannon in the Championship

Éire Óg U16 hurlers will open their championship campaign against Eoghan Ruadh Dungannon at the Quarter final stage on Wednesday evening at 8.15pm at Pairc Colmcille.

A keenly contested game is anticipated and we wish the lads well in this campaign.

All support would be greatly welcomed.

U16 Derry League Round 4

Éire Óg  6-08   Na Magha  1-11

Éire Óg U16’s continued their good run in the Derry league with great win away to Na Magha. The scoreline was a little flattering for Éire Óg, as the game was tight throughout with Éire Óg tagging on late goals to leave a 12 point margin at the end.

Éire Óg will play Banagher next Sunday 21st June at 11.00am at Pairc Colmcille in the 5th Round of the Derry league. All support welcome.

U16 Derry Hurling League Round 2

Éire Óg 2-11     Dungiven Kevin Lynchs 2-11

The Éire Óg U16 team got their Derry league campaign of to a great start at Kevin Lynch Park last Sunday morning (17th May). After a tough opening half against a gale force wind the lads came back from 8 points down to totally outplay the Dungiven outfit. After taking the lead in the last few minutes of the game Éire Óg were denied an excellent win when some dubious refereeing decisions gifted Dungiven the draw. Continue reading

Éire Óg U16 hurlers begin the 2015 season in fine form

Éire Óg U16 hurlers have begun their season in fine form with excellent performances in both Ulster and Tyrone blitzes and commenced their Tyrone U16 league campaign last Monday night against Na Seamróga An Srath Bán. After a slow start the lads grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck and managed to pull away from a determined Seamróga side eventually running out 2-15 to 0-09 winners. Continue reading
