So Féile Na nGael 2015 has come and gone in Carrickmore. The club hosted 2 teams – Rosenallis Hurlers from Laois and Paulstown/Goresbridge Camogs from Kilkenny. Games were played in Banagher, Lavey and Garvaghey and we managed sunshine for at least one day!
Every child showed impeccable behaviour and played with great heart and enthusiasm.
Unfortunately Éire Óg did not progress to semi-finals in either hurling or camogie, but both visiting teams did.
Rosenallis Hurlers were beaten in the Division 3 Cup Semi Final. Paulstown/Goresbridge Camogs went on to win the Division 5 Shield Title, congratulations for them on their title win.
We have made great friends over the weekend and hope we will meet again in the future.
Éire Óg An Charraig Mhór would like to express gratitude to all those who helped out this weekend, especially those who hosted our visiting teams. Féile could not take place in the Parish without all your support.
So until Galway next year!
