U16’s Advance to Tyrone Championship Semi-final

Éire Óg An Charraig Mhor  3-13   Eoghan Ruadh Dungannon  2-11

Éire Óg U16’s have advanced to a semi final meeting with Omagh St Enda’s after overcoming Eoghan Ruadh Dungannon in an excellent game of hurling at Pairc Colmcille.

Éire Óg dominated possession throughout and were frustrated at half time going in on a score-line of 0-07 a piece, with Dungannon only getting one score from play, with Éire Óg scoring six from play.

Éire Óg came out in the second half and attacked from the throw-in, scoring 1-02 without reply. After exchanging points, Éire Óg stepped it up again and went 10 points ahead mid-way through the second half and were in complete control until the last 10 minutes, when Dungannon tagged on 2 goals in quick succession, but Éire Óg bit back and after a great move netted again to extend the lead. Dungannon tagged on a few scores towards the end, but the Éire Óg lads defended excellently to close out the game and secure the win.
